Two Ways to Ride

Board at a Stop

  • Go to the nearest bus stop or wait near the curb.
  • Wave to the Bus Operator.
  • Board through the front door - be sure you have your exact fare ready.
  • Have a seat, and enjoy the ride. (When you’re ready to get off the bus, ring the bell before your stop.)

Call and We'll Pick You Up

PSTA’s Connector Service is designed to come to you. If you need the bus to pick you up, we’ll need you to make a reservation by calling the InfoLine at 727-540-1900 and choosing option 2. Your pick up and/or drop off location must be within ¾ of a mile of the preset routing, and you can book your trip a minimum of 2 hours or up to 3 days in advance. Remember to arrange your return trip at the same time.

Every bus stop in PSTA’s North County Connector system has a new bus stop sign. It’s a panel installed on the bottom of your bus stop.

Fares

The fares on the Connector Service are the same as the rest of PSTA’s local system.

Reduced fares are available for qualified riders with proper ID and multi-ride passes, called GO Cards, are also accepted.

Deviations

Deviations are provided on a first come, first served basis. Reservations are required a minimum of 2 hours (or up to 3 days in advance) before service is needed.

Your pick up and/or drop off location must be within ¾ of a mile of the preset routing. For example, if you scheduled a deviation within the ¾ Mile Pickup/Drop Off Zone and decide you would like to deviate again or you are on the preset route and would like the connector bus to deviate off the preset route across the street, you would need to make a reservation two hours prior to do so.

Real Time Bus Info

Connector buses might be smaller than our regular fleet of buses, but they’re still equipped with all of the technology we use to provide you with Real Time Bus Info. Follow the simple instructions on the Real Time sign at your bus stop, or visit RidePSTA.net, to find out when the next Connector bus will arrive. (Real Time info provided when the bus is up to 30 minutes away.)

8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Saturday

Closed on Sundays and no service on the following holidays: New Year's Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Bikes on Buses

PSTA's special Connector buses are all equipped with bike racks so you can bring your bike along for the ride. To learn how to use the rack, please visit our Bikes on Buses page.

North County Connector buses operate on a holiday (same as Sunday) schedule on the following days:

The InfoLine and Customer Service Centers are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.
